This kitchen, located within a breathtaking Darling Point apartment, needed a detailed renovation following a flooding incident.
The Renovation of a Breathtaking Harbour-side Kitchen. While the flooring was in dire need of replacement, the design team at Degabriele Kitchens + Interiors was tasked to come up with a total renovation solution, including joinery and trades. The partially alfresco kitchen and dining area has an abundance of natural light and views of the harbour.
The contemporary design was finalised to complement this stunning location. The mirror splashback was a key part of this decision; placed strategically to capture the magnificent view beyond, it succeeds in reflecting natural light throughout the space while also allowing the homeowners to enjoy the harbour views while seated at the island.
The kitchen was designed to exude aesthetic appeal with bespoke joinery solutions throughout. The drama of the honed Calacatta Arabescato is a perfect juxtaposition to the cabinetry’s minimalist palette. To hide the stack walls very commonly found in units, the nib walls were all lined stylishly in Navurban veneer.
The integrated fridge-freezer by Liebherr and the under-bench Wolf oven were chosen for their subtlety as well as functionality. The end result is a wow-factor kitchen truly worthy of its harbourside location.
