Contemporary Shaker Style Kitchen with Nobby Kitchens: the kitchen and living areas are on the top floor of the three-storey house, so the design team needed to make considered design choices to accommodate the layout. They chose to design and build a relaxed, contemporary-classic kitchen that integrates seamlessly into the large living and dining spaces.
The kitchen takes advantage of the beautiful view beyond, while also providing ample room for family duties and entertaining. The Shaker-style cabinetry is juxtaposed by wood textures, creating interest from the moment you enter the space. Silestone in Desert Silver appears on the room’s benchtops, complementing the cabinetry beautifully.
The tiled splashback, pendant lighting and brass hardware add a touch of luxe to this contemporary space. This kitchen needed to be endlessly functional, so high-end appliances were selected with care. Special highlights include the ILVE Nostalgie freestanding double dual oven stove with simmer plate, the ILVE cupboard rangehood, the Miele fully integrated dishwasher, and of course the Sub-Zero dual-zone wine storage unit.
The nearby butler’s pantry was designed to provide the family with extra storage and an additional wash-up area to ensure the main kitchen can remain clean and tidy as much as possible.
Aside from the kitchen and butler’s pantry, the team from Nobby Kitchens also designed and built the glamorous wet bar in the second living room downstairs. Designed to match the upstairs kitchen’s look and feel, it gives the homeowners an opportunity to entertain over two levels – perfect for this family’s teenage children and their friends.
