Nestled within the picturesque landscape of Queensland’s wine region, Barrel View embodies the essence of the area’s most cherished attraction: wine.
Situated just a brief journey from various Ballandean vineyards, three charming barrels beckon visitors to immerse themselves in the local countryside like never before.
In crafting this distinctive retreat, the proprietors of Barrel View undertook the task of architectural design and construction themselves. Employing premium Spotted Gum timber from a nearby sawmill, the entire exterior was meticulously clad, then coated with CUTEK® Extreme CD50 for optimal preservation. To further safeguard the timber, it received an additional coating of CUTEK® Extreme CD50, enhanced with a tint of CUTEK® Colourtone in Sela Brown.
The incorporation of CUTEK® Colourtone not only ensures the timber retains its natural hue over time but also shields it from the intense Australian sunlight. With its UV protective properties, CUTEK® Colourtone preserves the desired aesthetic of the project, accentuating the innate splendour of the timber.
