Not only is this a long time to skip the berry aisle at the grocery store, but you can actually extend this by choosing the right blueberry varieties.
Blueberry Burst® is one of the earliest blueberry varieties, in some locations producing berries from August onwards! Combine your Blueberry Burst® with Blueberry Kisses®, and you have the potential to enjoy blueberries for up to eight months! Both varieties have huge, delicious berries, that can be up to twice the size of a supermarket blueberry.
Whilst you can grow these varieties no matter where you live in Australia, you need to give them the best start possible to ensure success! Choose a pot at least 50 centimeters in diameter and create a mixture of 50/50 Premium Azalea Potting Mix and Pine Bark for planting. Water in well, and always check that the top 5cms of potting mix is dry before rewatering!
