The bright, white family-friendly kitchen you see here was previously a closed-up, angled room that wasn’t particularly functional or aesthetically appealing
When the homeowners contacted Carrera Kitchens about updating this space, they requested an aesthetically pleasing, family-friendly kitchen with plenty of room and storage.
The team at Carrera Kitchens took care to address each of the homeowners’ requests. They started by removing existing walls to open up the room. By doing this, they eliminated many angles that limited the use of the full space available. The team then examined how to utilise the new area, ultimately deciding to create numerous distinct zones to add extra functionality to the kitchen. The unused dining room near the kitchen was turned into a butler’s pantry, further increasing functionality and storage.
A light, bright colour palette that better suited the rest of the home was chosen for the kitchen and Caesarstone Arabetto was chosen for the benchtops to create an eye-catching contrast. While there’s much to love about this light and airy kitchen, the spacious island tops the list; both beautiful and multi-functional, it will inevitably become the place where the family gathers for casual meals and treasured time is spent together for years to come.
