It’s always a joy to be given the fresh canvas of a new home to work with. In the case of this project, the available space provided ample room to create a large, luxurious masterpiece with sweeping views of the green outdoors. Stylistically, the brief was to create a balance between modern and classic while incorporating all the conveniences required by contemporary kitchen owners.
The bold grey-blue colouring of the Shaker-inspired cabinetry creates an edgy pairing of old and new, an impression enhanced by the subway tiling, display shelving and antique-style pendant lights. To ramp up the luxe factor and set the clock to timeless, the benchtops are surfaced in Fabstone, with a generous overhang on the island bench to fit ample seating for entertaining.
